The frame’s shape is inspired by the sturdy safety glasses worn by thousands of American factory workers in the 50's. It’s namesake is a pretty County Derry village, in a naturally beautiful area forming part of the Causeway Coast. The village is well-known for its stunning soft white sandy beach and historical sites. The nearby much photographed Mussenden Temple was built on a dramatic clifftop in 1785, inspired by a temple near Rome.
